The ultimate gents ring is here. When a ring is made to truly last a lifetime they don’t get more serious than this. Set with .02ct diamonds the entire way around and bordered with 18ct yellow gold a platinum, this piece will last generations. Designed and made for a great client, we were lucky enough to work through the entire process with the couple, from engagement ring to wedding rings.

While being a relatively simple idea it requires some serious attention to detail. Making each band the perfect width would ensure nothing looked askew once set. Once the platinum and gold bands were soldered together and cleaned up it was sent off for diamond setting. See below for the making of this beast!

At this point in the make we solder the two bands together, even though the rings look like they’ve been through some kind of torture its just some protective coatings we apply to ensure the solder join remains clean. We hesitate to show these photos until the ring is finished so as not to give the client a heart attack.

All soldered but in desperate need of an acid bath. Let the cleanup begin!
