City and Colour

What could be more special and individual than an Australian parti colour sapphire. Hand crafted to last a lifetime, the sapphire is second only to diamond in terms of strength. Its a good thing too, because thats exactly what we intend for this ring to do.

This ring was commissioned to celebrate the birth of a beautiful girl, with that in mind we designed every feature to represent the bond between mother and daughter. The natural Australian sapphire is Mum’s birth stone while the peridot is baby Dallas’. With a bit of luck we found two stones that really complimented each others colours. A predominantly yellow/green sapphire paired with a light green peridot, don’t worry if you cant see the peridot, all will be revealed….

Crafted in platinum this ring was then sent to one of Australias best engravers (see London Engraver). Hand engraved on both sides and the top of the band then topped off with a mill-grain finish. In general we find platinum to be the longest and hardest wearing metal, not only is it amazing to work with but the finish is always 100%. Unlike white gold it never needs to be plated and retains its white colour.

Hidden Gems

From this side profile you can see the hidden peridot. The culet’s of both stones are “kissing” underneath. What better way to represent mother and daughter all in one ring!

The asymmetrical design being complimented greatly by the hand engraved sides. Hopefully its not the last time something like this comes through our workshop!
